Shiny or frosted?

Sea glass spends sometimes decades, sometimes hundreds of years, being tumbled by the tides. You can tell a really old piece of sea glass by its frosted appearance and the little "c" shaped marks on it's surface. It's not perfect, nor should it be, the scars are testament to its survival in the storm tossed seas. But if you prefer a shiny look, it's easy to achieve. Just rub any vegetable or mineral oil onto the glass (I like olive oil) it will really make the colour pop. Of course it won't last forever, especially on rings that are in and out of water all day. But it can be easily reapplied if you wish. That's two looks with one piece of jewellery, how fab is that!
