North East Open Studios

It was such a pleasure to take part in North East Open Studios for the second year running. I teamed up with the very talented ceramicists at Clola Pottery. It's such a lovely venue. With all of the work on display from the 9 potters, there was so much to see. There were demonstrations, explanations of the art process, and plenty of tea and home baking. We were delighted with how many folk chose to visit. I met so many lovely people and had a great time chatting about all things sea glass. Everyone has a story about their favourite find! I was even given some tips on new beaches to try. I also waved off a surprising number of my sea glass gems as they headed to their forever homes.

North East Studios is such a fab event. Over nine days hundreds of artists and makers fling open their studio doors and invite you in to meet the makers and explore the tools and techniques. Roll on next year, be sure to visit!
