This stunning red sea glass gem has been set with recycled fine silver. I've perched it on a wonderfully chunky recycled sterling silver ring band with a wave design. The sand casting has given the silver such an unusual texture with lots of ripples. I've added two tiny rubies. The ring is a UK size R and has been hallmarked by the Edinburgh Assay Office.

Red is such an unusual colour of sea glass to find. I was stunned to spot this gorgeous piece, and later that morning a yellow piece at Johnshaven harbour. What a lucky day!
