I carved this ring in wax with a chunky heavily textured finish. I then sand casted it with recycled sterling silver. The simplicity of the pretty 4.5mm emerald contrasts beautifully. UK size N.

The chunky, heavily textured ring band was such fun to carve in wax. I really enjoy the sand casting process, whereby a mould is made to pour the molten silver in. The 'sand' is more like a grainy clay and leaves a beautiful texture.
